Elements of a Standard Computer Network:
- Gateway—device located at a network node (a node is device that is capable of receiving and sending data, or forwarding info, over a channel of communication) whose purpose is to interface with another network which utilizes different protocols.
- Router—similar to a gateway in the sense that it connects two different networks (selectively picking out which packet of data to send next), though it can only interface through the same protocols.
- Hub—connects together several network elements into a single network segment (therefore, say, only one computer in the hub can communicate through the network at a time)
- Switch—network equipment which sends and allocates traffic from one network segment to another. This device, unlike a hub, splits up information.
- Bridge—device which connects multiple segments along a specified layer of the network (known as the data link layer).
- Repeater—an element of your network that is used to amplify (and if needed, regenerate) the data, all the while sending it along the network.
- Multilayer Switch—a switch which operates on multiple layers of the communication system.
- Protocol Converter—this network device converses between two different kinds of transmissions.
- Digital Media Converter—connects the network to media devices (TVs, Projectors, and the like)
- Firewall—either an element of the software, or a hardware device which blocks certain forbidden transmissions.
- Network Card—network equipment which connects a computer to the larger network.
- Modem—a device which encodes (and also decodes) digital data into an analog carrier signal (such as computer communication through the phone lines).

$75 plus any applicable labor/parts charges (Your computer will be diagnosed and if the required parts are in stock or if it is a software related issue then we will fix your computer while you wait)
Software Related Repairs
$100 per hour with a 30 minute minimum charge
Hard Drive Data Transfer
$50 minimum (based on amount of data transferred)
Hard Drive Backup to CD or DVD
$100 CD up to 750MB
Each Additional CD’s $20
$150 DVD <4.7GB
