About An Estuary

An Estuary builds professional learning tools and experiences. There software tools, Sanderling and Hedgehog, are portable, social learning spaces designed to facilitate peer learning communities and non-traditional learning experiences. Their learning experiences are interactive and hands-on. They emphasize peer learning communities, ongoing feedback, and personal reflection as a part of the learning process. Their courses and workshops focus on application of knowledge, engaging learners to discover and build useful resources and tools for themselves throughout each experience.

An Estuary is a team of former classroom teachers, who care deeply about real learning and who have years of proven experience blending technology with classroom teaching and helping other teachers do the same.
